Lynn Purser Frost, 53, of Caldwell, tragically passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009, while riding his motorcycle in an accident that was entirely avoidable. A memorial service will be held at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Family and Lynn's motorcycle buddies are invited to the Elks Lodge in Caldwell following the services. Our only son and brother was born June 27, 1956 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Jolyon (Jack) Purser Frost and Mary Ann Farmer Frost. When Lynn was four years old, his father got orders to serve in Europe. The family moved to Verona, Italy for three years and then to Bad Tolz, Germany for two years before returning to Fayetteville, North Carolina. The family remained there while Lynn's father was called to serve in the Vietnam War. Lynn then moved to Ft. Deven, Massachusetts with his family upon his dad's return from the war effort. Lynn attended Ayer High School in Massachusetts through his junior year. He then attended Caldwell High School where he graduated in 1974. Lynn loved life and was always busy. He was a great and avid skier in his youth and was an accomplished swimmer. He broke and held many school swimming records in the State of Massachusetts, especially in the breaststroke and butterfly. He once considered joining the Olympics in swimming. Lynn loved working on things and built his Harley motor cycle from scratch. In Caldwell, he frequently was seen around town on his Harley with his two little favorite dogs, Huey and Lillie, peering from the front of his coat. Lynn was loved by his family and his many motorcycle friends and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emily Johnson Frost and Wayne Purser Frost and Lloyd Farmer and Ola Kirk Farmer. Lynn is survived by his parents, Jolyon (Jack) and Mary Ann Frost of Caldwell; by two sons, Donavan Lynn Sweet and Leigh Roy Bracking of Iowa; by his sister, Christy King and her boyfriend Mike Campbell of Caldwell; and by his sister, Vicki Lane Eckert and her husband, Armand Eckert of Buhl. Lynn is also survived by four nieces, Kattie (Ben) Bruno, Erica King and her daughter Becka Davenport, Emily King, all of Caldwell and Sarah Weber of Portland, OR. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins from Kentucky. The family thanks all of the doctors, nurses, staff and Chaplin Ruth at the Trauma Unit at St. Alphonsus Hospital for their dedication and support in attempting to save our son's life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lynn's name to either the Animal Shelter, 5801 Gray Lane, Caldwell, ID 83607 or to the Make-A -Wish Foundation. Service Information
