Leo D. Anderson passed away August 19, 2009 at the age of 71 at his home surrounded by his family. Leo was born on July 15, 1938 in Caldwell, ID. He lived his entire 71 years in the town of Homedale, ID. After high school he entered the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the USS Tawakoni at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. There he met and married his wife of 51 years Katherine on June 16, 1958. After his discharge they returned to Homedale where Leo worked at Simplot Soil Builders as a shop foreman for 38 years and retired in 1999. He was a man of many hobbies, his favorites being stream fishing, camping and gardening. He is survived by his wife Kathy, and his three sons; Amos, Randy (wife Loni) and Steve, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his twin sister Cleo Kubosumi and sister Juanita Godlevsky (husband Lonnie) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Russell Anderson and mother Doris Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Accent hospice, 1857 S. Millennium Way, Suite 100, Meridian, ID 83642. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 22, at Marsing-Homedale Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 until 8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Service Information
