Wilma Jane Peden

Wilma Jane Walz Peden walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 21, 2015. Wilma was born on July 6, 1935, the first born child of Benjamin and Emelia Stohler Walz. She spent her childhood on her family’s farm in Vale, OR. She fondly recalled many happy memories of times spent with her best friend and cousin, Laray Walz Hetrick. Wilma accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a child and her life was lived in accordance with His guidance. In 1958 Wilma met and married the love of her life. Basil Gerald Peden. To their union three children were born, Jeanette, Darrell and Christopher. Her children fondly recall her wonderful homemade bread and cookies and her piano playing. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her step-mother Hedwig Walz, and her brother Loren. Left to mourn her passing are her brother, Calvin (Eleanore) Walz; her sister, Carolyn (Bearl) Baney,;her children, Jeanette (Michael) Green, Darrell Peden and Christopher (Anita)Peden. Her grandchildren, Kara Peden, Benjamin Peden, Magdalena (Maggie) Peden, Elizabeth Peden and Alec Peden, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Wilma’s life verse is Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures for evermore.” A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
