Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Robert Edward Nourse
April 10th, 1936 - January 11th, 2015
Robert “Bob” Edward Nourse, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at home, surrounded by family. He was born in Magdalena, New Mexico, on April 10, 1936, to William Robert (Pete) and Francis Nourse. Barbara Ann Buckley captured his heart and on August 27, 1958, they were married at the Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona. Bob and Barbara made their home in Idaho and raised three children. Bob was an electrician by trade but also a mechanic, welder, teacher and friend. He could fix a truck, car, toasters, or bicycles. His specialty however was that which could not be easily seen. With just a hug or kiss he mended scraped knees, broken hearts, hurt feelings or bad days. When he walked into a room, it lit up. With just a grin, he could make everything right. Dad forged bonds that were not easily broken. He built our lives together; building a love so strong that even in death, it cannot be broken. Lord you gained an Angel. This angel is probably going to cause hell, but you probably already knew that. Promise us though that you’ll take care of him. He raised three strong willed children, put up with a hell raising wife but never wavered from you or his family. He kept up multiple grandkids and great grandkids. He was an idol and the strongest person that any of us have known. We will miss him terribly but we know he is in good hands now and feel better knowing we have an angel watching us from above. Love you lots Grandpa and we will miss you. Bob is survived by his forever sweetheart, Barbara Nourse and their three children; Robbin (Don) Hampton, Lynn Carlon and Wayne (Polly) Nourse. His brother; George W. (Joy) Nourse. His grandchildren; Jackie (Brandon) McLaughlin, Matt Carlon, Pamela (Drew) Schaffer, Marcus Carlon and Brandi Carlon, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Robert (Pete) and Francis Nourse and younger brother, Kenneth Lee Nourse. Per his request, there will be no service.
