Jesus Padilla
June 12th, 1931 - July 19th, 2014
On July 19, 2014 our beloved father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jesus Padilla passed away surrounded by his family. Jesus was born June 12, 1931 in Van Horn, Texas to Nicanor and Gomesinda Padilla. He was raised in Casa Grande, Arizona. It was there that he met his wife, Rosalva, of over 50 years. Jesus served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. In 1975 he and his family migrated to Caldwell, ID for field work. Eventually they made their home in Caldwell. Jesus retired from the JR Simplot Company. Jesus enjoyed spending time with his family and accompanying his grandchildren at school for lunch or an awards ceremony. He also really enjoyed sports, his favorite being baseball. He was an extraordinary husband and father and was well liked and admired by those that had the opportunity to meet him. He was kind, loving and caring a wise man who liked to share practical wisdom that could stand the test of time. He was dedicated to his family, always putting their needs ahead of his own; he lived by the “Golden Rule”. His kind gentle words were comforting and his soft warm hands were always reassuring that everything would be okay. Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Rosalva, his children, Carlos (Elia) Munoz, Norma (Raul) Cortes, Ricardo Padilla, Velma (Mario) Guzman, Nick (Elena) Padilla, Gloria (Gustavo) Hernandez, Rebecca Padilla (Raul Morin Jr.), Edna (Roddrick) Davis, Patricia (Ramon) Vega and 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, his father, mother, a brother, a sister, his mother-in-law and father-in-law. Papa Bear, we love you very much and will miss you tremendously. Until we see you again. A Viewing for Jesus will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 5-8 PM. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July, 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Service Information
