John Paul Houston
March 4th, 1948 - February 3rd, 2018
John P. Houston passed away peacefully at home in Nampa, Idaho on February 3, 2018. John was born on March 4, 1948 to John Harold & Lois Houston. He was born and raised in Caldwell, Idaho; graduating from Caldwell High School in 1966. After high school, he joined the Air Force. He was in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970, and was the crew chief on a B-52 Bomber. He married Donna Watanabe on November 4, 1974. They then had one daughter, Shelbi. He was a bookkeeper and carpet manager at Rostock Furniture in Caldwell. John loved to golf and was the Secretary/Treasurer of the CMGA for many years. He loved hanging out with his family and friends, and watching his grandkids play sports. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Harold & Lois Houston. He is survived by his wife Donna Houston of Nampa; daughter and son-in-law Shelbi and Andy Clemens; two grandkids Kenzi & Kaeden Clemens of Notus, Idaho; one brother Kelly (Lynda) Houston of Everson, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Purple Sage Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bobby Chawla and staff at St. Alphonsus Cancer Center in Caldwell, Idaho; First Choice Hospice and Kathy Rathfron and April Walker and Family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in John Houston’s name to St. Alphonsus Cancer Center in Caldwell, Idaho.
