Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Jimmy Dale Griggs, Jr.
November 21st, 1968 - July 21st, 2018
Jimmy Dale Griggs, Jr. went home to the arms of our Heavenly Father on July 21, 2018. Jim was born on November 21, 1968 in Twin Falls Idaho and lived here all his life. Jim attended Twin Falls High School, graduating in 1986 and had a brief stent as an Engineer in the Army and was honorably discharged. In 1988, Jim wed Tira Arbaugh. During this union came three wonderful children, Kadi, Zakk, and Jed. Tira passed unexpectedly in 1998 from an asthma attack. Jim married the love of his life, Niki (Nichole) Allen on August 4, 2001. Together, they have two beautiful children, Karson and Kooper and have custody of their young nephews, Jace and Milos Stritesky. There was nothing Jim liked better than an interesting conversation with a friend, new or old. Jim could have an engaging conversation with anyone; he never knew a stranger. Jim was passionate about his professional work as well as his work as a leather artisan, for which he was truly gifted and talented. Jim enjoyed life itself, family members and many friends. Jim is survived by his wife, Nichole, his children, Kadi (Jay), Justin (Cole), Zakk, Karson, & Kooper, his niece Bryana and her husband Randy, who became more like a son, his grandchildren Peyton & Challis, his parents Jim Sr. and Barbra Griggs, many sisters and brothers, his in-laws Lucile & John Allen, his sister-in-laws, Jaci (Bob) Craig, & Ann Allen, many nieces, nephews, cousins, & countless friends who loved him, will miss him, but will never forget him. Jim was proceeded in death by his son, Jed, his father-in-law, Blaine, and his first wife Tira Griggs. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 26th at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell Idaho at 1:00 pm. Services will be held at 3:00 pm at the King Hill Presbyterian Church with a Celebration of Life, dinner to immediately follow at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Jim’s name has been established at US Bank to assist Nichole with expenses in the months to come. Donations can be made at any US Bank to: Jim Griggs Jr. Memorial Fund. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" Matthew 5:4
