Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Sage Cynthia Hegerhorst
December 1st, 2016 - July 2nd, 2023
Sage Cynthia Hegerhorst The world lost a darling six-year-old girl on July 2nd when an unforeseen ranching accident took Sage Cynthia Hegerhorst. Born on the first of December 2016, she grew up riding horses, herding cows, and playing with her dog. She loved her brother, Kolten, and her older sister, Dakota. Sage, the daughter of Dexter Hegerhorst of Jordan Valley and Michelle Hegerhorst of Nampa, brought joy to many. Her lively brown eyes, ready smile, energy, and sweetness lit up the space she entered. Sage was excited to begin school this fall. She already knew her numbers and letters and was starting to learn how to read. She knew much about the natural world in which she played. Family and friends find her loss inexplicable, horrible, and incomprehensible, but we must accept this irreversible reality with grace and hope that her spirit will enlighten the next world. Sage’s heart, liver and kidneys were donated to save other’s lives. Preceding her in death was her maternal grandmother and horse trainer, Cynthia Kidder. Remaining in addition to her parents and her brother and sister are her maternal grandfather, Brent Kidder of Wilder, her paternal grandparents, Grant and Cathleen Hegerhorst, of Bruneau, five paternal aunts and one uncle and on the maternal side, an aunt and an uncle. Friends and family will gather on August 25th @ 4pm. to celebrate Sage’s life at the Owyhee County Community Center in Homedale, Idaho.
