Juan "Manny" Manuel Balderraz
June 30th, 1952 - January 17th, 2021
Juan Manuel “Manny” Balderaz Sr., 68, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away Sunday, January 17th 2021 from Covid. Manny was born on June 30, 1952 in Winnemucca, Nevada to Frank and Julia Balderaz. Manny lived in El Paso Texas most of his childhood, then later moved to Idaho during his adulthood. He was later reunited with his mother after his father’s passing. He met and married Maria “Vita,” in 1976. Manny was a great provider, dedicating 20 years of service to Simplot, then later retiring from the Caldwell School District. Manny was an extraordinary loving man who always had an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. He may have been rough around the edges, but always meant well. He had a way with words, those of you who knew him will understand. If you wanted honesty, he was the man to talk to as he never sugarcoated anything. Manny was a father figure to many of us, who gave us unique nicknames we will always cherish. Manny is survived by his Wife Maria “Vita,” daughter Aracely “Chela” Ruiz, daughter Ruby “Shorty” Aguilar, her husband Manuel, Son Juan “JR,” his wife Jessica, and son Frankie. Grandchildren Rene, Crystal, Manny, Gabby, Valentine, Dominica, Addisyn, Brody, Manuel, Andy, Gabby, Paloma, Juan Carlos, Enedina, JoseLuis, Manuel Jr, Lala, Daiza, Jesse James, Christopher, Weston, and Juan Carlos. Great Grandkids Petra, Penelope, Emelina, Ruby, Evagngeleen and Olivia. Manny will be greatly missed and forever live in our hearts. A Viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapels 624 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, Idaho 83605 Friday, January 29th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the Nampa Church of Christ 53 N Yale St, Nampa, Idaho 83651 Saturday, January 30th at 10:00 a.m. There will be groups of ten or less that will be rotated in and out of the funeral home to give everyone a chance to see Manny.
