Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Rosalinda Almaraz
December 29th, 1960 - November 10th, 2021
Celebration of Life for Rosie Almaraz, 60, of Homedale, Idaho who passed away at home on November 10, 2021 will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho. Celebration and Viewing will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rosie was born on December 29, 1960 to Ernesto and Manuela Ozuna in Edcouch, Texas. Rosie traveled to Idaho with her parents and family, migrating across the states, leaving Texas as a child. Her family settled in Caldwell, Idaho in 1964, where she was raised and attended school. On a beautiful spring day in 1977, Rosie and friends were out on the town in Homedale. It was then and there that Willie and Rosie would meet. Willie's brother, Robert, introduced them. They laid eyes, on each and instantly knew. It was "Love at first sight" they knew, they would spend the rest of their lives together. Rosie and Willie married October 19, 1977. They made their home in Homedale and later in the Canyon County area. They eventually returned to Homedale in 1993 to raise and educate their (3) children, Rebecca Dawson, Guillermo "Willie" Almaraz Jr. and Isaac Almaraz. They later had 15 adorable grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren whom she adored. She most recently served as the Activities Director at Owyhee Health and Rehabilitation Center in Homedale. Her outgoing and caring personality won the love of the residents and families she had the privilege of serving. In this roll she assured that, everyone in her care had the opportunity to enjoy a happy and productive life. Her beautiful smile and presence will be missed and remain in the hearts of all whose path she crossed. Rosie had lots of hobbies and pastimes. She loved gardening, shopping, camping, swimming, thrift shopping, cooking, shopping at yard sales, and going to the cabin, and did we mention shopping. She is survived by her husband Willie Almaraz, daughter Rebecca Dawson (Jake), sons Guillermo "Willie" Jr. (Abby), and Isaac Almaraz (Meagan) and their grand and great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Daniel Ozuna, Tina Jimenez, Emma Valdez, Joe Ozuna Sr., Estella Zamora, Richard Ozuna, Danny Ozuna, Mary Crowe, Melinda Longoria. She was preceded in death by grandchildren: Savanna Lee Dawson and Mariya Elizabeth Almaraz and honorary niece, Cindy Gonzalez. Her parents, Ernesto and Manuela Ozuna, siblings; infant brothers, Ernesto and Tomas, sister, Eva Gonzalez, her brothers Tone Ozuna and Ernesto Ozuna Jr.; her father-in-law, Jesus Almaraz, and brother-in-law, Robert. Rosie and Willie's family extend a heartfelt thank you, hugs, and appreciation to everyone for your kind words, prayers, food, and generosity during this very difficult time. Please join us in celebration on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
