Eleanor Shea

Eleanor Shea Eleanor Marie Shea passed away on December 28, 2014 at 10:00 pm in Veneta, Oregon. She was 95. She was comforted in her passing by her family and now rests in God’s hands. Eleanor was born in Los Angeles, California, March 7, 1919. She married James Gerard Shea on November 4, 1939 at St. Ignatius in Highland Park, California. The family moved from Southern California to Burlingame, California in 1955 where they were members of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. Eleanor loved tennis and golf and was a member of the San Francisco Olympic Club. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband James, sons, Jimmy and Ronald and sisters, Kathryn and Madonna. Eleanor and James were married for 66 years and had 5 children, James, Thomas, Gerald, Ronald and Robert. Eleanor loved dearly all her daughters-in-law, Joanne, Carol, Susie and her son-in-law Marty. Eleanor had many close friends, but most of all, Eleanor was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great grandmother. Her greatest joy was to have one of her grandbabies in her arms, first Kelly, then Kimmy, Lori, James, Casey and Cassie. She loved all her grandchildren, including Lisa, Karen, Emily, and Jennifer, and her great-grandchildren, Katie, Shea, Kraig, Bailey, Connor, Tristen, Gage, Kaycee, and little baby Fianna and great-great granddaughter, Madison. There will be a memorial service April 18th, 2015 at 11:00 am at the St. Carlos Cemetery, Monterey, California.
