Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Marilyn Edith Chambers
February 27th, 1944 - February 11th, 2022
Marilyn Chambers, 77, of Marsing, Idaho, went to Heaven on February 11, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hawarden, Iowa on February 27, 1944 to Tillie and Eddie Weyers. She was the oldest of four children. Her family moved to California when she was 11 years old to pursue better opportunities. She married Robert Carter in 1960 and a year later they had a son, Robert, “Bobo”. She retired after a 35-year career with the K-Mart Corporation, where she started in the Fitting Rooms and worked her way up to Regional Secretary. After retirement, she moved to Marsing, Idaho to be with her grandchildren, Bobby and Becky. When she was able, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlepoint, gardening and most of all, watching her grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed the Marsing Disaster Auction, especially when the committee reserved her a chair right next to the donut booth where samples were often given to her by the donut ladies. She enjoyed her church family and especially enjoyed her “ Half-Mates “ group and the lunches they shared. She enjoyed living in Marsing and soon came to realize what our great small town was all about. A special thanks to all of the wonderful people of the Marsing Ambulance, Marsing Fire and Treasure Valley Hospice for always being there, no matter what time of the day or night. Marilyn is survived by her son, Bobo (Sheila) Carter, grandchildren, Bobby (Gracie) Carter and Becky Carter, step-grandchildren, Jeff Clausen and Jason Clausen, step- great grandchildren, Noah Clausen, Koen Clausen and Abi Clausen, brother, Dean (Irma) Weyers, sisters, Sherry (Don) Gallego and Donna (Tim) Bartholemy and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and her good friend, Becky Hardaway. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant daughter, Mary Lynn Carter and her husband. Services will be held February 24, 2022 at Marsing Nazarene Church at 11 a.m.. Graveside at Marsing- Homedale Cemetery at 12 p.m. with dinner to follow at the Marsing American Legion Hall. For more info, Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell
