Stanley BaldwinA public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at The Club at Autzen Stadium in Eugene for Stanley “Stan” Baldwin of Eugene, who died Jan. 19 of unknown causes, pending tests. He was 72. A private family memorial service is planned.He was born June 1, 1939, in Marshfield, Wis., to Robert and Elizabeth Reddeman Baldwin. He married Judy Hagerman on June 22, 1963, in Plymouth, N.H.He graduated from Harvard University Medical School in 1965 and completed his internship and residency at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He served as a general thoracic surgeon at the U.S. Air Force Medical Center in Ohio from 1971 to 1973. He joined Cardiovascular Surgical Associates in Eugene in 1973. He was a cardiac surgeon at Sacred Heart Medical Center and, in 2007, became the director of philanthropy at the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Heidi Raither of Bend, Heather Baldwin of Portland and Wendy Ricketts of Lake Oswego; a son, Robert of Portland; a brother, Edwin of Depoe Bay; a sister, Martha Louerde of Washington, D.C.; and eight grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances may be sent to Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation.
