Martha Mary Graves

Martha M. Graves, 85, formerly of Payette, ID passed away May 11, 2018 in Boise, ID. Martha was born Nov. 24, 1932 in Tempe, AZ to William and Mary (Coffman) Griess. Martha attended school in Tempe through 6th grade until her parents sold their citrus orchard in 1945 and moved to Payette where she attended school and graduated in 1951. Martha married Lewis O. Wiles in 1952, raised three children and enjoyed 36 years together. Lewis passed away in 1988. She later met and married Cloise Graves in 1992 and enjoyed many years together until his passing in 2011. Martha liked to sew, embroider, crochet and take care of her family. One of her proudest achievements was learning to drive at the age of 60 and driving the open stretches of highway into Texas with Cloise when visiting his family and friends there. She is survived by a brother Herbert Griess (Nancy); three children Mary Annis (Steven), Harley Wiles (Susan) and Diana Hood; four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 10 am to 12 noon, Monday, May 21st at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette with graveside services the same day at 2 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
