Mary Jane Correia
February 9th, 1932 - February 22nd, 2021
Mary Jane Correia, 89, passed away on Feb. 22, 2021 in Weiser, ID. She was born on Feb. 9, 1932, in Santa Barbara, CA to Roy and Florence Shaw. Mary met her husband of 60 years, Arthur Anthony Correia, in 1950 and they married on April 1, 1951 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Together they raised three children: Michael, Diane and Darbie. In October 1960, Mary and Art moved to Weiser, ID. After arriving in Idaho, Mary went to beauty school and worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years; owning the Magic Mirror in Weiser for many of those years. Mary was a member of the Ladies of the Elks and a faithful servant of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, singing in the choir for numerous years and serving the church community as a member of the local and Western Deanery chapter of the Catholic Women’s League. She loved doing things with her children and grandchildren, socializing, singing, dancing, traveling, gardening, and doing word search puzzles to keep her mind sharp. Mary is survived by her son, Michael Correia (Jean); daughters, Diane Hill (Greg) and Darbie Correia-Dennison; three grandchildren, Anthony Correia (Amanda), Andrea Ramirez (Joey), and Wyatt Correia-Dennison; and two great grandsons, Lincoln and Crew Ramirez. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who always had a twinkle in her eye, playful spirit, beautiful singing voice, and ability to make new friends instantly. Services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Weiser, ID, beginning with a vigil service at 6:00 PM on Thursday, Feb. 25, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, Feb. 26. A graveside service will be held in New Meadows, ID at Meadows Valley Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.

We Entrusted Mary Correia's Care To
Thomason Funeral Home
For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
