Teresa Figueroa Gonzales
October 14th, 1924 - October 10th, 2023
Teresa Figueroa Gonzales, 98, passed away peacefully at home, on October 10, 2023, with her two sons and daughter at her bedside. Teresa was born on October 14, 1924 to Vicente Figueroa and Maria Jimenez Figueroa in Castroville, Texas. She was raised in Texas and assisted her mother and father in raising a small herd of ranch livestock which she enjoyed doing as a young girl. In her later years she traveled around Texas, Wisconsin and Idaho doing seasonal farm work. It was during this time that she met Seledonio Gonzales whom she later married. They settled in Weiser, Idaho and had lived here since the 1950's. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Seledonio Gonzales. She is survived by her two sons, Sel and John Gonzales, a daughter, Maria Wheeler, two granddaughters, Christina and Samantha, and son-in-law Dennis Wheeler. At home, Teresa tried to be as physically active as possible in her later years, and she really enjoyed watching reality t.v. shows on Alaskan wilderness living. Teresa was a devoted wife and a firm, kind, loving mother and grandmother. She was a kind and gentle soul with an affectionate and humorous manner that attracted many friends. She will be sadly missed by family and friends and be fondly remembered by those who knew her. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 7 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 20th at 11 am at St. Agnes with burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery.

We Entrusted Teresa Gonzales's Care To
Thomason Funeral Home
For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
