Faye Dawn Yoctorowic, age 83 passed away peacefully at home, May 7, 2022. Faye was born July 21, 1938, right before her twin brother, Ray Dickerson, in Ontario, Oregon. Faye and Ray were the youngest children and second set of fraternal twins born to Otto and Agnes (Richardson) Dickerson. Faye was raised and went through school in Ontario and lived there until she married Edward B. "Ben" Yoctorowic on October 15, 1955. Faye and Ben moved around a lot during their first years of marriage as Ben was working in construction at the time. Their first daughter, Teresa A. Yoctorowic was born while they were living in Colorado. Teri was followed by Debra, Kathy, Sandy and Carma. After raising the first five girls, they braved parenthood again and finished raising their oldest granddaughter, Stephanie. By December of 1963, Faye had five little girls, age 7 and under and had settled in New Plymouth. This is also when they began to build their dairy herd. In 1975, they bought the farm where they finished raising their kids and continued to milk cows until they sold their herd and retired from the dairy business in 1994. When they retired from the dairy business, Ben and Faye started raising and breeding American Paint Horses. This kept them busy for many years as they enjoyed traveling to horse sales all over the Northwest. Faye also became very active in the horse 4-H program after retiring from the dairy. She judged many horse shows, record books and took oral reasons from hundreds and hundreds of kids over the years. Faye also found her niche in coaching the Horse Bowl team for local 4-H kids and enjoyed seeing their successes and traveling with them to many state and even a couple of national level competitions. Faye's contributions to the local 4-H program will be remembered for many years to come. After having raised six girls, it is easy to understand that Faye and Ben had a plethora of grandkids, great-grandkids and recently had the first great-great grandchild. Nothing made Faye and Ben happier than seeing their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always enjoyed having lots of kids and company around. The door was always open and there was always a pot of hot, black coffee and a meal on the tableeven though Faye was never a fan of cooking, nor did she excel at it. Her coffee was always consistent though. Faye is survived by four daughters, Teresa Martin, Debra Youren, Kathy Mackey (Tim King), Sandy (Cal) Wilson. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Stephanie Brannan, Bo Mackey, Buster Alley, Zac Mackey, Sami Eggebeen, Nichole Erickson, Ben Chapman, Mandy Wilson, Tony Parsons, Jake Parsons, Kidd Youren, Harry Youren, and Keegan King as well as by twenty great-grandchildren, Taylor Mackey, Kaleb Shartzer, Madelyn Erickson, Sydney Brannan, Wyatt Erickson, Kayson Parsons, Morgan Shartzer, Braxtyn Parsons, Peyton Erickson, Drew Brannan, J.D. Eggebeen, James Eggebeen, Hayden Faye Mackey, Finley Taylor Mackey, Bradley Wilson, Fallon Youren, Ryder Erickson, Tucker Davis, Leah Eggebeen and Quinn Youren and one great-great grandchild, Sterling Monpas. Faye absolutely adored and loved seeing all these grandkids up until within hours of her passing. Nothing brought her more joy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Yoctorowic, her twin brother, Ray Dickerson, brothers Luther and William Dickerson, sisters Sheila Dickerson, Zona Sutherland and Linda Straight, a daughter, Carma Yoctorowic, two grandchildren Clint "Hoss" Alley, Calley Jo Bivins-Shartzer and Jacqueline Yoctorowic, and one great-grandchild, Colton Mackey.
