Allan Michael Szews
September 9th, 1960 - July 25th, 2018
Allan Michael Szews of Fruitland, ID died at the St. Luke's hospital on July 25, 2018, surrounded by his family. Allan was born on September 9th, 1960 in Wausau, WI to Eugene and Donna Szews. He married Carol Ederer on July 19, 1984 in Wausau, WI. He had his first son, Brandon, on December 25, 1984; his daughter, Natalie, on December 16, 1987; and his second son, Eugene, on March 4, 2004. He lived in Rhinelander, WI until 2014 when he moved to Fruitland, ID. Allan is survived by his mother Donna Szews of Birnamwood, WI; wife Carol Szews of Fruitland, ID; his children Brandon (Kim) Szews of Houston, TX; Natalie Szews of Eau Claire, WI; and Eugene Szews of Fruitland, ID; his grandchildren Modesty Lirones, Dominic Lirones, Temperance Lirones, Sebastian Szews, and Constance Szews of Houston, TX. He was also survived by his sisters Diane (Dwight) Tolk, Debra Pierzchalski, Sandra (Doug) Sanders, Sharon (Peter) Krull, Lori (David) Lussier, Lynn (Clint) Boettcher, Amy (Mike) Milligan, and brother Michael Szews. He was an uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father Eugene Szews, brother-in-law David Pierzchalski, and nephew Robert Pierzchalski. Allan was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman. He loved to be outdoors and shared his interests with others. At the time of his death he was a certified welding inspector for ARO Testing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the AWS. Funeral services will be held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette, ID on Tuesday, July 31 2018. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., the memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. After the service there will be a celebration of life at the Portia Club in Payette, ID. Everyone is welcome to attend to eat and share stories with his family. A celebration of Allan's life will also be held at a later date in Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation that will be sent to a charity of the family's choice. Service Details.
