Terry Ray Bratcher, age 70 of Payette passed away in his home Saturday May 13, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 11, 2017 at the R & L Event Center in Payette, Idaho at 3:00 pm. Condolences may be made to Terry's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Funeral services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Terry was born June 11, 1946, to Howard and Daisy (Cline) Bratcher in Ontario, Oregon. Terry was the youngest of three children; brother, Gary and twin sister, Sandra. The Bratcher family lived in Ontario for 10 years before moving to Payette. Terry graduated from Payette High School in 1964. One of his greatest achievements from high school was being voted as "Best Dancer." Terry started working for Champion Homes in 1969. He dedicated 39 years of employment to Champion; during that time he made many lifetime friends. Terry later worked for Payette School District from 2009 - 2015 as a part time janitor as he would put it, "CEO" (Custodial Engineer Officer). Terry and Patricia June Nagaki were married in February of 1971 and moved to Payette to start a family. They welcomed their first child Tory in May of 1974 and later a son Tracy in August of 1977. Terry was very involved in his family activities. He coached many of his children's little league teams, helped his sons with home improvement projects and would take a week off of work to help out on his in-laws farm every year. Many of the family vacations were centered around the boys' baseball schedule. He really loved and doted over his boys and grandchildren; claiming all their good qualities came from him and all the unattractive qualities coming from the other family members. Terry enjoyed camping, fishing, playing golf, and later he enjoyed hanging out with his buds down at the local watering hole. Terry recited a great story but he couldn't tell a joke without butchering it. Terry's health started to deteriorate in the fall of 2015. After suffering a heart attack in September, Terry spent some time in the hospital to recover from his first hurdle. Terry was later diagnosed with throat cancer in 2016, and after a hard fought battle, the cancer was too much to overcome. Terry is survived by his ex-wife, Pat Lassiter, his sons, Tory (Brandy) Bratcher, Tracy ( Lindsay) Bratcher; grandchildren, Sadie, Payson, Schuyler, and Royston; sister, Sandra (Chet) Boren; nieces, Kimberlee Lafferty, Brandy Deden, Mindy Hoffman, and Darci Camp; nephews, Chad Boren, Corey Boren, Todd Bratcher, Jeremiah Camp, and Mark Hoffman. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Susan and his brother Gary. Service Details. Service When: Sunday, June 11th, 2017 Location: Funeral Home Address:
