Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel - Payette
Eppie Jeanne Talbott
October 25th, 1921 - September 13th, 2013
Eppie "Jeanne" Talbott, 91, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Royal Villa Assisted Living in Payette, Idaho with family by her side. Jeanne was born on Tuesday, October 25, 1921 in Otsego, Ohio to Thomas Vincent McLaughlin and Nelle Buker McLaughlin. Jeanne attended school at Monroe Rural School in Ohio. After school, she attended nurses training for a year at Ohio State, and then worked for Ohio Bell in Cambridge, OH. During WWII, Jeanne moved to Oakland, CA for training as a government key punch operator. Jeanne also worked as switch board operator at Guernsey Memorial Hospital. Jeanne met her future husband, Bill, while riding the bus to work at the hospital. Jeanne married William "Bill" Marion Talbott in June 1956. Bill and Jeanne had two children together, William Eric Talbott and Vincent Arthur Talbott. The family moved to Fruitland, Idaho in 1964. The Talbott family owned and operated Talbott's Pine Acres Christmas tree farm in Fruitland for almost twenty years. To family and friends, Jeanne was a special lady and she will be remembered for so many special gifts. She gave only kindness and love, we would sit for hours listening to her stories, she had a "green-thumb," and she made the simplest meal taste gourmet because she put so much love into everything she did. To family, Jeanne's greatest success was being a fantastic sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, and 7 siblings. Jeanne is survived by her brother, Riley McLaughlin, sons Bill (Chris) Talbott and Vince (Dawn) Talbott, grandchildren Gene Dyal, Liz (Mike) Sansom, and Matt (Kassi) Canas, and great-granddaughters Ashleigh Dyal and Lillyanne Sansom, and many nieces and nephews. Family would like to express heartfelt appreciation for the caregivers at Royal Villa Assisted Living for making her last years so comfortable, and thanks to Heart n Home Hospice and Palliative Care for wonderful care as she passed from this life. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Park View Cemetery, 3600 Highway 30 West, New Plymouth, ID 83655.
