LaRee Harris Probart
April 7th, 1927 - January 11th, 2012
LaRee Probart, 84, of Payette, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Ward, 501 S. Iowa Ave., Payette. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery, Boise. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. LaRee was born on April 7, 1927 to Charles Henry and Maude (Jones) Harris in Sugar City, ID. She graduated from Sugar/Salem High School in May of 1945. LaRee married A.W. "Ted" Probart on March 22, 1951 in Elko, NV. They resided in Payette for over 30 years. LaRee worked at the Idaho Dept. of Labor / Employment until she retired in Oct. 1981. After retirement they traveled, sharing their time together and with family at their home on the coast of Washington or at their cabin in the rural Idaho mountains near Council. When Ted passed away in May 2004, they had been married for 53 years. She lived in Payette and Chinook from 2004 until her passing. LaRee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an avid gardener, and enjoyed the outdoors. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, David Probart (Kathy Rozzini), Carol Cole (Greg), Sandy Tripp (Larry), and Jeff Probart; four grandchildren, Shelli Mittman (John), Angie Rosengrant (Eric), Jason Probart, and Todd Blacketter (Stephanie); six great grandchildren, Molly and Emily Mittman, Jordan, Ryan, and Brett Rosengrant, and Teryn Blacketter; two siblings, Doyle Harris and Elaine Thompson; and many nieces and nephews, extended family, and loving friends. Memorials may be made in her name to a favorite charity, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661. Service Details.
