Diana Parham Obituary – Diana Parham On Tuesday, July 10, 2019, Diana Carole Parham, loving mother of 6 children and long-time resident of Junction City, passed away at the age of 80. She died of complications from congestive heart failure. Diana was born July 10, 1939, in Bedford, Indiana to James and Hazel Moan. She graduated from Huntington Beach High School in California. She met Bob Parham in Indiana and married him after high school in California. They had six children in six years; Tammy (Wade), Kevin Parham, Tracy (Burden), Terri (Smyth), Kerry Parham and, Kim (Morris) deceased. As the kids began to grow, the family moved from Orange County, California to outside of Junction City. A rural and simple upbringing for the kids was important to both Diana and Bob so that their kids would become further nurtured in family values. They wanted the kids to learn to enjoy the simple things in life such as camping, summer road trips, and the triumph of school athletics. Diana and Bob also wanted the kids to learn the value of hard work and, that they did. Each summer they picked berries and beans, baled hay and worked on farms and ranches in the area. Diana was such a supporter of her children that she never missed a game or activity that the kids were a part of and, that turned out to be a lot of games with each child involved in sports. She made thousands of lunches, knew how to keep score of the games and became an ‘expert’ chauffer shuffling her brood between school and games. Her dedication to her children and her supportive spirit as a team mom carried through for her grandchildren as well. Diana was a giver. Even when she had her own health problems such as 4 hip surgeries, and a 40-pound tumor removed, she always took care of Bob and the children. Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2004 and her daughter Kimberly in 2008. She is survived by 5 children, 16 grandchildren and, 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at the Saint Rose of Lima, Catholic Church in Monroe, OR on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Flowers or donations may be sent to the family at: 93541 Smyth Road, Junction City, OR 97448. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. All are welcome to share their stories about their relationship with Diana and celebrate with the family.
