Rae Ann Springer, cherished mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away suddenly on February 7th, 2022. Rae was born on August 22nd 1938 in Picher, Oklahoma where she lived until she moved to Kellogg, Idaho and graduated from High School. There she met and wed Raymond Aamodt and had three children, Terri, Shari and Jon. In the 1970’s she moved to Forest Grove, Oregon to be close to her mother, father and two of her sisters. There she met and wed Neil Springer. Rae loved being with family, friends, reading mystery novels, going to church, spending time reading the Word and snuggling with her beloved dog Jade. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, C J and Mae Mallett, her husband Neil Springer, her three sisters Nadine King, Billy Sweeten and Betty Henifen. She is survived by sister Pat Derbyshire, her children Terri Waibel and her husband Robert, Shari Kamna and her husband Darryl and Jon Aamodt and his wife Cheryl. She is also survived by her grandchildren Phillip Waibel, Kirsten Proskey, Jennifer Hall, Daniel Kamna, Nathaniel Aamodt, Katelynn Greenwood and nine great grandchildren. Rae Ann will be honored at a funeral service at 3pm on February 12th, 2022 at the Gospel Lighthouse Church, 308 Emison Ave., Nyssa, Oregon 97913

Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community. ...
