Robert "Bob" Papke

Robert “Bob” Papke, age 67, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on March 24, 2024.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 26, 1956. He attended Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois. Before retiring in 2018, Bob was a truck driver for 40 years. During his 40-year career, Bob traveled to every contiguous American state except for Maine, providing an invaluable service to communities and businesses across the country.
In his downtime, Bob loved spending time with his family, attending his children’s sporting events, cooking on the grill, and playing with the family dog. Bob was known for his sense of humor, witty comebacks, and ability to always make people laugh.
Bob was survived by his five children, Melissa (Owen) Kuffer, Lydia Papke, Andrew (Cecilia) Papke, Hannah (Daniel) Barrett, and Jacob (Lea Partipilo) Papke; seven grandchildren, Isaac Pierre, Samuel Pierre, Abigail Kuffer, Eleanor Kuffer, Ricci Pineda, Rafael Papke, and Aurora Papke; two sisters, Kathy Brown and Suzanne Mitchem; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Alice Papke; and sister Jeanne Swichtenberg.
A very special thanks to Gigi Papke for all her care, love and support.
A gathering at Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church in Palatine, Illinois has been scheduled for Friday May 24th from 3p.m. to 7p.m. with the service beginning at 4p.m.
