Maria (Vita) Balderaz, 71, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 31, 2024. Vita was born December 18, 1952 in Edinburg, TX to Christina and Juan Guajardo. She lived her childhood in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico until the passing of her grandmother Senovita. She then moved to Texas to live closer to her siblings, Rene, Raul, Rolando, Ruben, Robert Medina and sisters Hilda, Hermelinda, Helen and Heloise. Vita would then migrate with her grandfather, Benito Aguilar to Idaho for work where she met her first husband Juan Alfaro. She had two daughters, Arasely and Annette before his passing. She then married the love of her life, Juan (Manny) Balderaz and had three children, Ruby, Juan and Frankie.

Vita worked at Simplot, field word, migrant school, transporting Rail Road people. She loved traveling to Texas to visit family. She had a big heart and often took in kids that were not hers. Everybody called her mom. If you were in her house, she would most likely try to feed you. She is a saint with a heart of gold.

Vita is survived by her daughters, Arasley (Chela), Ruby (Shorty) and husband Manuel, sons Juan Manuel Jr., Francisco Balderaz, and grandchildren Rene & Gabby, Manuel & Domenica, Andy & Gaby, Paloma & Brian, Juan Carlos (baby Carlos) & Aaliyah, Enedina (Hopey), Jose Luis (Jojo), Crystal & Valentin, Manny, Juan Carlos (big Carlos), Selena, Allyson, Manuel Jr. (Manny), Addisyn, Brody, Adabella, Daiza, Jesse James, Christopher, Weston, Great Grandchildren, Ruby, Emilina, Jazmin, CeCelia, Mayleen, Evangeleen, Dominic, Olivia, Camilia, Alex, Danny, Petra, Penelope, Phoebe.

Flowers should be sent the Flahiff Funeral Chapel the day before the funeral.
