Lamont Brewer

Lamont Brewer, age 71, passed away at Presbyterian St Luke’s Hospital in Denver, CO on April 1st, 2024. Lamont was born in 1952 in Gary, Indiana to Johnnie and Janie Brewer. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Gary in 1970. He was always happy to say he went to school with the Jacksons. After graduating he joined the Navy and served his country for 3 years. After returning home from the Navy, he worked as a crane operator. After 20 years of working at AMG Lamont left Gary and moved to Colorado in 1994. He held various positions with Access-A-Ride and retired as General Manager in 2017. Lamont married his wife Carol, on June 12th, 2010. Lamont was passionate about sports and traveling. He had two daughters from a previous marriage, Kamilah and Janika. He had three stepchildren, Jeremy, Steven and Amanda. Lamont had two granddaughters, Tahjena and JadeLyn and one great grandson, Amante. Lamont and his wife Carol never had their own children but shared 9 grandchildren. Josiah, Isaiah, Elijah, Anthony, Alixandrea, Steven, Jeremy, Kameilah and Samuel and one great granddaughter, Ezeriah. Lamont is preceded by his parents, and brother Ronnie Brewer. Lamont is survived by his wife, Carol, his siblings, Janice Frazier, Johnnie Brewer (Onteria), Sondra Gates, Tommy Brewer (Joan), Gloria Mckinney (Louis), Audrey Love, Emealia Lucas. Lamont will be missed by many. He was a great person, a wonderful husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend.
