Marilyn F. Anderson
December 15th, 1937 - April 5th, 2024
Marilyn Falkner Anderson, 86, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away in “true Marilyn style” on April 5, 2024, while in the loving care of the staff of the emergency room at St. Lukes Hospital in Meridian, Idaho.
Marilyn was born to Henry and Elma Falkner on December 15, 1937 in Provo, Utah.
Marilyn moved with her family to Boise, Idaho in 1949 and graduated from Boise High School in 1956. She then attended Boise Junior College and Brigham Young University.
Marilyn married Gerald D. Anderson on February 4, 1961, at the Cathedral of the Rockies Methodist Church in Boise, Idaho. Together they moved to Seattle, Washington where Gerald attended dental school while she worked at Blue Cross and Safeco to support them during his attendance. During this time they welcomed their first child Mark. In 1966, after graduation, they moved to Meridian, Idaho and bought their lifetime home.
Marilyn and Jerry were blessed with four children: Mark (Kathi) Anderson, Dena (Von) Lloyd, Gail (Chris) Potridge-Roome, and Eric Anderson who passed away in infancy. They were also blessed with 7 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, many of whom are blessed to remember her well. Marilyn adored all of her grandchildren and they adored her just as much.
Marilyn was fun-loving and had a huge heart. She taught her grandchildren all the games she loved and helped them learn some of her crafting talents as well. She went out of her way to make sure everyone in her home was comfortable and was always ready to make them any snack they wanted. She was an active member of her community and was a passionate member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, P.E.O. Chapters CN and BZ, among many others. She also ran the Festival of Friends Bazaar for 19 years alongside her closest friends, Jacque Riddlemoser and Marilyn Marks.
Marilyn had a strong faith in Christ, which helped bring those around her closer to Christ as well. She also loved sharing her talents with those she loved including crafting, cooking, reading, and sewing. She especially loved hand-making Christmas stockings for each of her grandchildren and their spouses and great grandchildren. Marilyn was a blessing. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and is missed so much already.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Eric; and her parents. She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 AM on June 15th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 2981 E. Boise Ave. in Boise. A reception will follow at the church.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
