Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel - Payette
Kelli Quintieri Hinatsu
July 10th, 1958 - April 15th, 2024
Kelli Quintieri Hinatsu, 65, of New Plymouth passed away peacefully in her home with family on April 15, 2024. Kelli was born July 10, 1958, to Ruth and Eugene “Gene” Quintieri in Boise, Idaho.
Kelli grew up in the Boise area and graduated from Borah High School. She then went to Boise State University where she studied mathematics and later went on to get her Masters in Business Administration. She was a staunch alumni and never backed down from the friendly rivalry with her husband (a University of Idaho graduate).
She worked a variety of jobs including sales, tech support with IBM, and a computer programmer/analyst at West One Bank. She married Roger M. Hinatsu for time and all eternity on February 15, 1992 in the Boise Idaho Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She later came back to the family business at Meridian Bowling Lanes where she worked as the manager while being a mother to her four children. Later, as an empty-nester, Kelli worked as a part-time teacher at the Fruitland Preparatory Academy and found a love for helping the students there.
Kelli loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as her rescued stray fur baby cats. She was an avid reader of many genres and was often reading multiple books at once. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and was especially prolific in painting, scrapbooking, and quilting. She loved music, especially Michael Jackson, and was also an accomplished pianist and played for her church primary, choir, and in later years, found enjoyment teaching piano to her neighbor’s children. Kelli was well known for and will be well remembered for her laugh, sense of humor, and finding joy amidst trials. She will be missed as a wonderful wife and loving mother and grandmother.
Kelli is survived by her husband Roger; four children: Elizabeth (Jake), Michael, Benjamin (Libby), Rachel (Denver); 2 grandchildren: Cal and Theo; two siblings: Jo Wilmot and Allen Quintieri (June).
