Ima Gean Broaddus, 83, of Salem, OR, Formerly of Springfield, died May 26, 2014 from a stroke.She was born on September 17, 1930 in Watson, OK to Albert and Lou Ethel (Hunter) Scott. On August 12, 1946 in Grants Pass, OR, she married Stanley C. Broaddus Sr., who preceded her in death on March 5, 1999. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield and of the Red Hat society. She is survived by a son, Stan (Bev) Broaddus Jr. of Redmond, OR; a daughter, Carolyn (Allan) Dobes of Keizer, OR; two brothers, Lee Roy (Myrtle) of Coffeyville, KS and Andy (Marilyn) Scott of Granite, OR; two sisters, Arle Samuels of Annandale, VA, and Eddie (Allan) Claudson of La Grande, OR; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday May 31, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 1175 G St, Springfield, OR. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church 1175 G St. Springfield, OR 97477. Arrangements entrusted to Springfield Memorial Funeral Home.
