Karen Denise McDougal, age 71, passed on to Heaven, Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield Oregon.She was born December 12, 1942 in Lindsey, Ca., a daughter of the late Ihlyne (Green Griffin) and Kenneth Sears. She has lived in Oregon most of her life and loved the outdoors and riding her horses (known as the horse whisperer), and also enjoyed camping and fishing. Karen was a very special person who was loved by everyone who knew her.Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bob McDougal, daughter, Tammy Hass, and two brothers Darel & Don Sears.She is survived by her son Richard Kerr (Renee') of Kelso Wa., Stepdaughters Dede Yarger (Bill), Linda Todaro (Joe), both from Creswell, a daughter Annie McDougal of Eagle Point, OR and a son Brian McDougal (Penny) of Idaho. Two sisters, Bonnie Gines of Porterville, Ca., and Mary Boyd of Cottage Grove, Or., Sister-in-law, Shirley Kidder of Roswell, NM.Her grandchildren who she loved dearly are Dusty, Justin, Rochelle, Ryan, Eutha, Crystal, Illoria, Aitor, Melissa, Kristina, Joey, Stacie, Brianna, Shyla, Aurora, Magenta and 12 great grandchildren.The celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 27 at the Delight Valley Church of Christ 33087 E Saginaw Rd, Cottage Grove, OR 97424 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a pot luck.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
