Sarah Jensen

It is with the heaviest of sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Sarah. Sarah Elise Jensen passed away at the age of 14 on March 16th, 2020 in her home in Eugene, Oregon. Sarah was born on July 28th of 2005, as the youngest of five children in Eugene, Oregon. Sarah was a beacon of life to all those she came into contact with. She exuded passion and beauty and deeply cared about her friends and family. Those of us who were blessed to know her, loved her. Sarah was a freshman at Churchill High School and had plans to go into the medical field. She loved to sing with the choir at Churchill and had a beautiful voice. She participated with the leadership group and enjoyed helping to plan activities for the student body as well as helping others. Sarah was also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had various leadership responsibilities for other teenage young women. Her desire was to serve as a missionary once she graduated from High School. Sarah’s love was to help others. She would find opportunity to serve others by taking them flowers, cookies or just reaching out. She enjoyed taking flowers into nursing homes and handing out flowers to the women living there. Frequently she could be found in teacher’s classrooms trying to help them with whatever was needed. She sought out those that didn’t feel included and pulled them in. Sarah is survived by her parents Steven and Cheryl Jensen; her older brothers Aaron, Jacob and Spencer; and older sister Rachel. She also leaves behind a beloved nephew and niece, Elijah and Olivia. Services will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00am at the Musgrove Mortuary Chapel on 225 S Danebo in Eugene, Oregon. Due to the Covid-19, the services are only open to family by invitation; however, they will be broadcast via Musgrove Mortuaries and Cemeteries Facebook should anyone wish to participate remotely.
