William “Bill” E. Webber passed away July 4, 2013. He was 88. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday July 14, 2013 at 4:00pm at First United Methodist Church.Bill was born June 4, 1925 in Morland, Kansas to Ernest and Norinne (Dolton) Webber. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Carpenter’s Mate.Bill married Dorothy A. Davis August 20, 1947 in Fruitland, Idaho. He was a graduate of Cal Poly class of 1951, with a degree in Poultry Husbandry. Bill worked for Swift & Company Poultry in Utah in the early 1950’s. He moved to Mountain Home, Idaho and worked in sales in the local feed store before moving to Eugene in 1969. He worked in the food service industry as a manager at Northwest Christian College, later running Alpine Food Services, now Alpine Catering (still owned, run by his son Paul.) Bill retired in 1990. He enjoyed traveling. He was very friendly and outgoing. He really enjoyed his work.He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Webber of Eugene, OR.; 4 sons Dale (Janet) Webber of Sedona, AZ.; Craig (Sue) Webber of Olympia, WA.; Paul (Sally) Webber of Eugene, OR.; Jon (Susan) Webber of Phoenix, AZ.; 4 grandchildren, Wynette Webber; Ryan Webber; Leslie Funes; Arianna Webber; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Musgrove Family Mortuary is taking care of the arrangements.
