Alton Lawson Alton M Lawson passed away quietly and comfortably on May 28, 2013 in Eugene, Oregon. Alton was born on Aug. 6, 1919 in Snipes, Texas to John and Sara Lawson. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. Dad was like most people in those years, he had minimal education but learned through life. He married Clara Lousie Rothell Jan. 3, 1942 in Arlington, Texas. From this union, a son Lindle Morgan Lawson born Aug. 3, 1944 at Ft. Worth Texas and a daughter, Sara Diane Lawson born July 31, 1949 in San Jose, California. He served his country in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign from 1944 to 1946 with the U.S. Army 77th Cavalry. Alton worked for Pacific Gas and Electric company for 34 yrs and retired 1981. He and his family lived in Cupertino, California till the early 90s when he and his wife moved to Junction City to be near his beloved daughter. Alton was a good man. He loved his children, he loved his country, and he was proud of his service to country and family. He was honest, trustworthy, and committed to friends and family. He loved dogs of all shape and sizes. He got great pleasure from hunting ducks with his favorite Lab. Dad will be deeply missed by his surviving son, Lindle, his two grandchildren Jessica and Clayton, and his great grandson Mason, and all that were touch by his life. My mother, his wife of 65 years, and his jewel, his daughter Diane left him early. Thank you Dad, for everything. Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Junction City on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 1:30pm. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home.
