Robert Kimball Sr.The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Robert R. Kimball Sr. of Eugene, who died Sept. 21 of age-related causes. He was 86.He was born Feb. 3, 1926, in North Bend to John and Elsie Andersen Kimball. He married Wanda Fae Blue in Eugene on July 25, 1953.He graduated from Eugene High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as an engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring after 38 years.Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Jr., Stan and Greg, all of Eugene; two daughters, Nancy Carter of Seattle and Christine Wheeler of Hillsboro; and four grandchildren.Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
