JUNCTION CITY — A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at the Junction City Moose Lodge for John Huffman of Junction City, who died July 23 of age-related causes. He was 84.He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Louisville, Ky., to William and Mary Burns Huffman. He married Joyce Marcroft in California on Oct. 9, 1961. She died July 20, 1993.He was a high school graduate. He served as a gunnery sergeant with the Marines during the Korean War. He was a typewriter repairman with Clary Business Machines until 1993, when he began doing deliveries for the family business, D&L Truck Parts.Survivors include his domestic partner, Joy Stein; three sons, James Holcomb of Orting, Wash., Bob Holcomb of Azusa, Calif., and Steve Holcomb of Gold Bar, Wash.; two daughters, Joan Langan of Jasper and Vickie Volkman of Medford; a brother, Robert of Tennessee; two sisters, Marilyn Stoss of Virginia and Carolyn Graham of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.Private inurnment will be held. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
