A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for David O. Upton of Albany, who died May 9 of heart failure. He was 64.He was born Nov. 29, 1947, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Ohland and Jackie Rhodes Upton.He held a bachelor’s degree in geology from Oregon State University. He served in the Army National Guard.Survivors include a son, Jason of Sherwood; a daughter, Sara Shatto of Lebanon; two brothers, John of Florida and Scott of Elmira; a sister, Leah Upton of Springfield; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
