James Clark Owens "Jim" passed away peacefully on April 4, 2013 after a brief illness. He was a long-time resident of Tucson. He married Amy Virginia Lee, "Ginger" in the Mesa Arizona Temple on May 29, 1956 Jim served in the U.S. Army in the Advanced Infantry. While serving in the military he was trained in Data Processing which allowed him to pursue a career with IBM affording him the opportunity to see the world as he provided consulting and guidance to many large scale computer operations customers. Jim was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served with multiple Bishoprics as Ward Clerk. He leaves behind his loving wife, Ginger; his son, Dennis C. Owens and his wife Kim of Houston, Texas; his son, Bryan K. Owens of Tucson, AZ; and his grandson, Christopher Owens of Los Angeles, CA.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and others who have called him Grandpa. Visitation 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9541 E. Snyder Rd., followed by funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Binghampton Cemetery. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, www.bringfuneralhome.com.
