Helen Irene Ruhland

Mrs. Helen Ruhland, formally of Jeannette, PA passed away March 3, 2013, in Tucson Arizona. She is preceded in death by Ernest Ruhland, her husband of 63 years and grandson, Shawn Wymer. Helen is survived by daughters, Karen Ruhland and her partner, Susan Smith of Tucson, AZ and Nancy Wymer, her partner, Debbie Dodd of Odgen, Utah; brother-in-law Harry Ruhland and wife, Anna Marie; grandchildren Jason Wymer, Karla Wymer, Tami Wymer, Lisa Wymer, and 5 great-grandchildren. Helen will be greatly missed by her "adopted" children Kathy Ponzetti, Donna Ponzetti, Indu and Nela Vakharia, Randi Yawn, Sherry Ruther, Debbie Bailey, Mary Cassidy, Michelle Moore and her many friends who gave so much love and support. Helen Rattigan was born in Ford City, PA, on July 4th, 1920. She was a graduate of Kittanning High School in 1938 and graduated from Grace Masters Business School in 1940. Helen received an Associate's Degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1968. Helen was Head Librarian at the Jeannette Public Library for 28 years until she retired in 1968. She was loved for her humor and positive outlook on life. Special thanks to Handmaker for their excellent care.
