SHERWOOD, Lois Elaine passed into the arms of the Lord on August 18, 2017. She was known lovingly by her grandchildren and family as "LaLa." LaLa to all meant LOVE. Born to parents, Philip Ingeman (predeceased) and Melia Allene Hansen in Tucson on July 6, 1947, Lois grew up in a large family---five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married December 30, 1967. She gave birth to daughter, Kristin (Yoerns); sons, Doug Walters (Stephanie), Brent Sherwood and Brandon Sherwood (Kristen). Her grandchildren are: granddaughters, Aubrilyn, Kaydance, MaKenzie and Gracie-Jean Sherwood, Haley Yoerns, Mai Walters and grandson, Eli Walters. Lois is also survived by brothers, John, David, Daniel, Peter and Steven Hansen; sisters, Nellie-Ann Galloway, Phyllis Green and Rebecca Price. Lois was predeceased by sister, Karen Ruth Spencer. Lois worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center as a laboratory health clerk. Her favorite jobs though were as a mom and grandmother. Her earthly job completed, may she rest in peace. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Boxer and the staff at Arizona Oncology, the staff of St Joseph's Hospital Women's Care Unit, and Dr. Lawrence Lincoln and the staff at TMC Hospice (Peppi's House) for their compassionate support and care during her struggle with Leukemia. Services for Lois are as follows: Visitation at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral at Our Mother of Sorrows Church Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Followed by graveside services at All Faith's Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois' name to the following organizations: The Leukemia Foundation https://www.allbloodcancers.org/donate or TMC Hospice - Peppi's House https://tmcfoundation46605.thankyou4caring.org/
