Thomas Anthony Kuehn
June 4th, 1928 - November 22nd, 2012
Thomas A. Kuehn June 4, 1928 - November 22, 2012 Tom, an only child, was born to Anthony S. and Clara D. Kuehn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was graduated from Marquette University High School in 1946 and received a PhB degree from Marquette University in 1950. He was called to duty in the US Army and served honorably from 1951 through 1953. Upon his return, he joined the Wisconsin Natural Gas Company and Wisconsin Electric Power Company where he met his future wife, Mary. They married in 1957. He is survived by his wife and three children, James Kuehn and wife Donna, of Warfordsburg, PA, Karen Smale and husband Alan, of Gambrills, MD and Karl Kuehn of Clearfield, UT. He is also survived by three grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by a son, John Peter Kuehn. Tom and Mary Beth lived primarily in Racine, Wisconsin, but maintained a residence at the Baileys Harbor Yacht Club in Door County, Wisconsin where they hiked, bicycled and enjoyed the Door County life. Tom enjoyed his family, his various work activities, plus photography, fishing, sailing, classical music and astronomy. He retired as Safety and Training Director for Wisconsin Natural Gas Company in 1988. Shortly after, he and Mary Beth moved to Tucson where Tom, took great pleasure in the desert landscape, travel and good friends. Memorial Mass 9:30AM, Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View Rd. Arrangements by Bring's Broadway Chapel, bringfuneralhome.com.
