Brenda Lynn Loomis
May 22nd, 1970 - July 30th, 2012
“Hello My Friend†was how Brenda Lynn Loomis greeted all the children she taught and met. Brenda passed away peacefully on July 30, 2012 at the age of 42 at home surrounded by family and friends after battling breast cancer for several years. Brenda was born on May 22, 1970 in San Antonio, Texas. During her life, she lived in Texas, Georgia, England, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Arizona. She loved to travel, visiting many states and countries including Italy, Peru, Mexico, Belize, and Costa Rica. She loved hiking, camping, fly fishing, and photography; spending many weekends in the mountains of Wyoming and the red-rock areas of Southern Utah and Arizona. Brenda graduated from Montana State University with a B.S in elementary education. She loved the work she did with the young children for several years at International School of Tucson and recently as an Early-Childhood Coach at the Blake Foundation (Easter Seals). She married Rick Pieros while living in Utah. They later divorced. After moving to Jackson, Wyoming, she met and married Neil Loomis. They were later divorced. Brenda is preceded in death by her grandparents Jesse and Mary; Uncles Jesse Jr. (Cindy), Dennis (Terry); Aunt Rebecca (Bernell and Darlene). Brenda is survived by her mother, Josefina, step-father, Craig , brother, Antonio (Tony), grandparents Kay and Marilyn; nephew MaKaydon; nieces Carley and Kendall Grace; aunts RoseMarie (Bentio), Elizabeth (Cha-cha) (David), Patti (Eric), Carolyn (Stephen); uncles Rudy (Anna), Kent (Sharon); cousins, Rose Ann, Benito Jr. and Natalie. A special thanks to Rose Ann for her loving care of Brenda during her time in hospice. Brenda enjoyed life and invites her friends and associates to a Celebration of Life open house at her home, 1380 N. Sycamore Blvd. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 6 PM to share memories and experiences with those who knew and loved her. Brenda desired cremation and to later have her ashes scattered in the red-rocks of Southern Utah.
