Raymond D. Welch

Welch, Raymond D, 78, passed away on February 19, 2022 in his longtime home of Tucson. Raymond was born on September 16,1943 in Minneapolis, MN but spent the vast majority of his life in the Tucson area. He served in the US Army as Master Sargeant at Ft Huachuca and South Korea during his career after which he went on to graduate with an Associates degree in Business from Pima Community College in 1971. From there, Raymond went on to work at the University of Arizona and the State of Arizona Department of Economic Security. He loved his training responsibilities in the Army and his opportunity to work with and help people. He also enjoyed working on his 1968 Mustang and his interests in Hockey and football. He is missed by all his friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Wickham and Raymond Welch and of his brothers Robert Welch, William Welch, and Paul Welch. Marie Camp and John Welch live in Minnesota . He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Welch, daughter Andrea Davidson, son in law William Davidson, and granddaughters Amanda and Samantha Davidson and extended and family both near and far and a deep group of friends throughout the community. All are invited to the visitation at 3:30 pm on Sunday, February 27 at Brings Chapel. The Mass will take place at 10 am on Monday, February 28 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S Kolb Road. Funeral to follow at Our Lady the Desert Cemetery at 2151 South Avenida Los Reyes.
