Susan Marsh nee Perkins entered eternal rest in the early morning hours of August 25, 2022. Born in Kansas City, MO in 1936 to Dorothy Mary Woodward and Edson W. Perkins. She graduated high school from St. Augustine Academy in Cleveland OH and attended the University of Missouri where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was married to James H. Marsh, Jr. in 1957 and resided in the Kansas City area until she and James moved to the Washington DC area with their three daughters and resided there for 31 years. She moved back to the Kansas City area in 1997 where she resided with her husband in Leawood and Prairie Village, KS. One last move would take her to Tucson AZ until her death. Susan was a devoted wife and mother, and a devote Catholic. Wherever she lived she always became an active member of her parish. Especially Our Lady of Mercy Church, Potomac, MD and The Church of the Nativity Leawood, KS. Her many volunteer hours with the Church and the community are too numerous to list. Closest to her heart preforming the duty of Eucharistic Minister serving both at Church and the sick and homebound. Susan was preceded in death by her parents Edson W. Perkins and Dorothy Mary Perkins nee Woodward, Kansas City, MO. Her husband of 63 years James H. Marsh Jr. (Jim) Tucson, AZ her brother Edson W. Perkins "Cy" (Kelly) Leawood, KS and her granddaughter Carrie Anne Samuels. She is survived by her loving daughters - Elizabeth Burkholder nee Marsh Tucson, AZ. Caroline Atkins nee Marsh Winchester VA, Jennifer Bohne nee Marsh (Kevin) Toledo, OH her beloved brother Michael “Mikey" Perkins Mission, Kansas her grandchildren Katie and Sarah Burkholder, Rebecca Atkins and Jamie Atkins Lacey, Jimmy and Will Bohne, 5 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephew. A Catholic Funeral Mass was celebrated on August 30, 2022, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Tucson AZ and she will be interred with her husband James at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana, AZ.
