John Lord Taylor
June 4th, 1967 - September 10th, 2022
John Lord Taylor, 55, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 in his home. John was born on June 4, 1967 in Philadelphia, the youngest of three children to Harry and Hilda Taylor. He moved to Delaware as a child and lived there until his father passed away when John was 15. He moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to finish high school at Lake Havasu High School. After graduating, John spent a year at Arizona State University before he joined the United States Air Force in December of 1986. He would travel the country and the world as a fleet manager before returning to Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson and retire as a Technical Sergeant after 21 years of service on March 31, 2007. After retiring, he worked with construction companies including Don Kelly Construction, Premier Building Group and Schuff Steel as their National Field Equipment Director. John enjoyed watching football and was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan (Fly Eagles Fly!). He also enjoyed music, golfing, cars, his dog, and spending time with his family. John is survived by his children and his grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy: Taylor (Nick) Elias; Jordan (Travis) Wolf; and Justin Taylor, children with Melissa Taylor. Damon Griffin; Leyla (Seth) Griffin; and Nova-Lyn Taylor, children with Niky Taylor. Grandchildren: Rylan, Evan, Aubreigh, and Jameson Wolf. John is also survived by his brother William Taylor, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones, including his dog, Apa. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry, and beloved mother, Hilda Taylor, and sister, Joan Horseman. Memorial services will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Bring Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85710 Webcasting will be available day and time of service.
