Maria Elena Zamora

Maria Elena, “Helen”, Zamora, 86, born and raised in Tucson, Arizona entered into eternal life on April 4, 2023. Helen “Uma” was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family as she created a “home” wherever her and Henry’s travels took them during his 20 year Air Force career and 20 years of Civil Service. During those years, they lived and traveled all around the world in places like Germany, Korea, Italy, Guam, Japan, San Antonio, Tucson, Colorado Springs and Florida. Being a native of Tucson, and after all of their travels, Helen and Henry settled back in Tucson through their golden years. She always put God first and lead a life dedicated to her faith. Her faith put her in positions of leadership within The Columbiettes, Regina Council 5133 and kept her very involved in her congregation. Born under the sign of the Leo, her family will always remember her for her fierce, strong, passionate and loving personality and all the memories she made with us all; from all the times of playing card games, going to the casino, sharing holidays together, and to having family gatherings. Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Enrique “Henry” Zamora, who Entered into eternal life on February 14, 2023, parents Próspero and Carmen Núñez, brothers, sisters Grandson’s Carlitos and baby Elvis. Helen is survived by her sons, Enrique (Stephanie), Carlos (Esther) and Rolando (Letty) Zamora; daughters, Jenny (Frank) Garcia and Deirdre (Elvis) Camacho and 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway.
