Peter Carlyle Green

March 1, 1922 ~ June 20, 2017 - Peter was a physician specializing in anesthesia in the Portland area. He was a captain in the Army between 1955-1957 serving in Stuttgart, Germany. Peter Carlyle Green, age 95, passed away June 20, 2017. Peter was born in Roberts, Idaho on March 1, 1922 to Luman Peter Green and Veda Jane Walker Green. He attended Box Elder High School, Weber State and received his medical degree from University of Utah. Peter married Mary Lavern Olsen on September 4, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Later he married Hertha Orr Patton on December 6, 1974 in Molalla, Oregon and then Joy Spencer Beecher on April 11, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada, all deceased. Peter was a physician specializing in anesthesia in the Portland area. He was a captain in the Army between 1955-1957 serving in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Peter was a scout master, played bass with the New Oregon Singers, and performed sing-a-longs with Hertha and Joy. Peter is survived by his children James (Renee) Green, Heber City, Utah, Mary Louise (Ken) Nielson, Washougal, WA, Evelyn (David) Caldwell, Spanish Fork, Utah, Barbara Bale, Salt Lake City, Utah, Thomas (Amy) Green, Monteca, CA; stepchildren James ( Barbara) Patton, Prescott, AZ, Sue (Steve) Facer, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A service will be held June 29, 2017 at Canby LDS Ward 1285 S. Elm St. Canby, Oregon. Viewing is at 11am and funeral at 12 noon. He will be buried at Adams Cemetery, Molalla, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boy Scouts of America.
