Barbara Ann (Bobi) Brown was the only child born to Louise and Edgar Wilson on February 17, 1933 in McDonough, Georgia. After graduating from high school Bobi took a job at the state capital in Atlanta, Georgia where she met her future husband, Donald Brown, on a blind date. Donald and Bobi were married in Jackson, Georgia on April 2, 1956 and immediately embarked on Don's military career as a pilot in the United States Air Force. Bobi and Don had two children, Donolyn Johnsen, who precedes her husband, Scott Johnsen and Robert Todd Brown (Kim). In addition to their two children there are four grandchildren, Colby Scott Johnsen (Samantha), Paige Peters (Matt) Carter Brown and Taylor Brown. There are also two great grandchildren, Taelyn and Cooper Johnsen. Donald's military career spanned twenty six and a half years, seven states and one country until Donald's retirement in June, 1981 when he and Bobi retired in Tucson, Arizona. Barbara will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart and warm personality. She loved being a military wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed and embraced the challenges of moving with her family and always made their house a home, while making many new and long lasting friends along the way. Bobi had many hobbies that she excelled at and enjoyed. At the age of 67, never previously having had a dance lesson, Bobi joined a group called The Hot Flashes where she learned to tap dance. She enjoyed the dance group for nine years, providing entertainment to various audiences, including cruise ships and Good Morning America. She enjoyed crafting with wood, painting, sewing and trying new recipes culled from her years of travel. Barbara passed peacefully on August 6, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.
