Kay Centeno, a lifelong resident of Tucson, Arizona passed away on August 17, 2023, after a long illness. Kay lived a full life of raising kids, working in the medical field, and teaching at Mother of Sorrows Church. She was an avid Canasta player and really enjoyed collecting jewelry. She is survived by her children Cassie Kunze (Ellen) and James Centeno, her 4 grandchildren Devon (Sadie) Gibbs, Lincoln Boland, Olivia Centeno, Evan Centeno, 1 great grandchild Jude, and 6 siblings Vicki (Jim) Buckley, Mark (Sandy) Rutter, George (Betty) Rutter, Steve (Darla) Rutter, Chris Rutter, Joe (Annette) Rutter, and many, many nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years John Centeno, her parents George and Margaret Rutter, and her sisters Stephanie Sodeman and Bethe Stiller. Funeral arrangements are through Brings Funeral Home and her services will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Our Mother of Sorrows Church on Kolb Rd. Rosary at 10:30 am and funeral mass at 11:00 am.
