Robert M. Lynn
September 17th, 1923 - January 26th, 2024
Robert M. Lynn was born September 17, 1923 in Osceola. Iowa, to Nellie Mae and Virgil Lynn. He died peacefully at Peppi's House on January 26, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth and Donald Lynn; wife Evelyn (Copley); son Gary; daughter Janis Hogan; and granddaughter Brooke Hogan. Bob Moved to Arizona with his family in 1962 and is survived by his daughters Pamela Allen (Toby) and Gayla Royston (Robert ); son-in-law Patrick Hogan and daughter-in-law Ruth Ann Lynn. His grandchildren are Scott (Deena), Michael (Christina), and Douglas Lynn; Deborah Luttermoser (Reed); Bob Royston (Julia); Jamie Royston; Sandra Richardson (Scott); Lara Hogan; Ben (Liz) and Kevin (Megan) Allen. His great-grandchildren are Zach, Megan, Ethan, amd Marissa Lynn; Mitchell and Austin Luttermoser; Whitney and Madyson Allen; Rachael, Emily, Ryan and Grayson Richardson; Addison and Trevor Royston; and Ryan Allen; great-great-granddaughter Aurora Richardson. He was a career Army and veteran of WWII, Korea and active duty during the Vietnam War. He had an additional 20 year career in Civil Service with many awards for excellent service. He was a 58 year active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. After retirement he worked tirelessly to maintain the Rose Garden and the roses flourished during his time. He also painted the whole church campus outside and most of the offices and classrooms when he was in his late 80's. He became a familiar figure around campus. He had a passion for gardening and growing roses, as well as generally maintaining and keeping everything in place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in his name. A private memorial celebration will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024.
