Barbara Margaret Loquasto
July 6th, 1936 - January 31st, 2024
Barbara Margaret Loquasto née Tellez was born on July 6, 1936 in Tucson, Arizona to William and Margaret Tellez. She had a younger brother Bill (deceased). Barabara graduated from the University of Arizona in the spring of 1958 and married the love of her life, Louis Loquasto (deceased), in the fall of that year. Barbara enjoyed her life long career in education. She taught hundreds of young minds over her 46 year career at Whitmore, Bonillas, and Borman elementary schools. Barabara was an avid reader, the biggest U of A fan around, and appreciated the fine arts. Barbara is survived by daughters Toni Loquasto and Margaret Loquasto-Jaquay; grandchildren Cody Rivera (Krystal), Sierra Mendoza (Manuel), Clay Rivera, Bailey Evenson (Bryce); great-grandchildren Connor Rivera, Lane Rivera, Mia Mendoza, Raegan Rivera, and Sienna Mendoza. A viewing and mass will be held on Monday, February 12th 2024 at St. Cyril of Alexandria at 4725 E Pima St Tucson, AZ 85712 Viewing: 9:00AM-10:00AM Mass: 10:00AM-11:00AM The burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery at 3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson AZ 85705 If you’re wishing to express your condolences to the family, they kindly ask that you consider donating to the Southern Arizona Food Bank as it was one of Barbara’s many charitable causes that she contributed to: www.communityfoodbank.org
